Please submit your application as early as possible to avoid disappointment and at least 10 weeks prior to the course start date. A deposit of 10% (no less than $100AU) is required together with your application.

West Coast College will contact you shortly after your application has been received to arrange a pre-course task, which confirms your English language level before class placement. You will be notified of acceptance into a course within 1 week of your task being received and assessed.

The balance of course fees must be paid at least four weeks prior to the first day of studies or your place may be offered to another candidate.

Contact administration to extend your studies at any time. Any changes to enrolment details must be notified to West Coast College in writing.

West Coast College reserves the right to increase fees at any time, to change course dates at any time and to cancel a course if necessary.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 18 (you must be at least 18 years old by the start date of your course)
• Native language literacy and standard of education that would allow entry into upper high school or tertiary education.

Course Entry Requirements

• Relevant Australian visa. (Student Visa holders are only eligible for full-time English courses. Any courses with part-time English are not available to these students.)
• Insurance cover for the duration of your studies - you are required to have comprehensive travel insurance before beginning study and student visa holders must have OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover) insurance as a condition of enrolment.
• Basic stationary including a pen, pencil, eraser, notebook or lecture pad and storage file.
• Access to or purchase of the relevant course textbook at West Coast College within the first week of studies.
• A dictionary for English and your native language.
• Payment of 10% deposit accompanying application and payment of balance at least four weeks prior to the first day of studies.

Cancellations and Refunds

Our refund policy follows the Western Australian Department of Education Services' Policy Guidelines for Registration of Providers of Education Services to International Students and meets the Australian government's Education Services for Overseas Student (ESOS) Act 2002 specifications.

If required, an independent conciliator appointed by the Department of Education, Science and Training is available to hear grievances involving the services, facilities and policies of the college, and will act to mediate a resolution. The conciliator can also provide information on legal channels open to students.
