We cater to the full spectrum of student needs:
Information regarding accommodation, tourist attractions, sporting facilities, travel options, community services, health and safety services, childcare, licences, embassies, insurance, bank accounts, employment, transportation, goods for sale / hire and other items of interest is provided on an ongoing basis by the administrative staff of West Coast College. Our notice boards are constantly updated.
Many students find it affordable and enjoyable to train for a practical qualification such as a driving licence or SCUBA diving certificate while in Bunbury, and West Coast College can help students find a suitable training program.
As the College works very closely with the Bunbury community, both private business and local government, we encourage students to undertake extracurricular volunteer work experience. Volunteering allows students to improve their English, meaningfully interact with locals and contribute positively to the host community. Student Visa holders: please note that taking part in volunteer work impacts on your 20 allowable hours of work per week while studying.
After finishing study, we also offer students the opportunity to spend up to 10 hours gaining logged unpaid work experience with our administrative staff as a Student Assistant.
