Entry Points to Bunbury

Although Bunbury has an airport and sea port, traffic tends to be overland. The city has a local bus, taxi and tram service.

Train

Australind: takes 2 hours and 27 minutes between Perth Railway Station (Wellington Street) and Bunbury Passenger Terminal (Picton Road) with a free shuttle bus connection to ‘The Old Railway Station’ in central Bunbury (off Blair Street) on week days.

Reservations are essential and can be made up to 6 months in advance. Timetables and bus routes are subject to change without notice.

The Tourist Bureau of Western Australia is opposite Perth Railway Station. The Bunbury Visitor Centre is within ‘The Old Railway Station’ (bus terminal).

Shuttle buses and taxis are available between Perth International Airport and central Perth bus and train stations.

Car

Rental car outlets exist at Perth International and Domestic airports, throughout Perth and in Bunbury. Prices start at around $20 per day and direct travel between Bunbury and central Perth takes around 2 hours regardless of the route taken. A current Australian or International driver’s licence is required to drive in Australia.


Local Transport

Transportation to and from West Coast College is at the student’s own expense and arranged at the student’s own responsibility. Public transport, bicycle hire and car hire services are available in Bunbury, and West Coast College can assist students with locating and utilizing these services.
